The Webmasters of the Soul Quest Site (wolfshadow) and the Circle of the Sacred Kindred site (strix and venus)had a meeting of the minds and hearts and decided to put their heads together and try to present the Internet Spiritual community with an opportunity to unite, exand, and promote Spiritual teachings. The result is Earth Spirits School which is, quite simply, a vision that unites ALL spiritual traditions and practices. We are all Earth Spirits on this school called Earth. We are one people. Our methodologies, beliefs, experiences and practices may differ but the goal is the same. To cherish all Life Forms and evolve into the Divine Beings that we truly are. It is our sincere hope that you will join us.
Manifesto:
1. We believe that life is a journey of self discovery that takes place on a multidimensional level which includes the past, present, future and simultaneous time frames and that, at the point of convergence � known as the Great Now � all healing and transformation manifests.
2. We believe in actively pursuing the transformation of conscious through meditation, creative visualization, introspection, and open-mindedness because the body is a microcosm of the Macrocosm and as such, can be used as one of many possible gateways toward reaching the Divine within ourselves. We do this so that we may learn the truth of our Inner Reality and expand our limited perceptions to a more universally balanced level.
3. We believe that god/goddess, in their various guises cross culturally, are personifications of the Original Creative Source/Force.
4. We seek to put ourselves in accord with nature and the Greater Reality by attuning our hearts, minds, and souls with the rhythms inherent in all life cycles. (i.e. seasons, moon phases, rites of passage, tides, etc.) We do this by using tools which enable us to learn the processes of attunement and, when that attunement is reached, we free ourselves of any dependency upon the learning tools.
5. We seek to hone our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and imaginative skills in order to become responsible Universal citizens.
6. We believe in honoring the ways of the Ancients, our ancestors, as a way of achieving self-revelation and healing. We do this by learning, remembering, and practicing the ways of those who have already walked the path which stretches before us.
7. We honor the Four Kingdoms: Animal, Mineral, Plant, and Human for we believe that, in essence, We are All Related and can learn and benefit from interacting honestly, lovingly and gently with these, our extended family.
Earth Spirits School is a community of like minded individuals who share a belief in those things stated in the Manifesto. The members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience making the available information a truly unique blend of many pagan traditions. Our goal is to provide and educational forum to all who seek to spiritually evolve. We are open to all serious Seekers and encourage individuality, respect, and communication among members and visitors alike.
We are guided by our minds, hearts, and beliefs as well as by Spirit in all activities and offerings. We teach co-creation, universal responsibility, vibrational therapies, self- development, and personal and planetary evolution. We continually strive to improve the self and awaken and develop the Wise One within for we believe that to change the world we must first change ourselves.
We teach methods of self development which anyone from any faith or tradition, background,race, creed, gender, experience, or knowledge can benefit from and utilize. We stress methods of sensory and/or consciousness expansion for we believe in empowering the individual rather than making him or her dependent upon a system or practice. While we use tools during the learning process we are careful that no dependency is developed regarding those tools for they are only tools and, to become a master, one must be able to perform without those tools. We teach respect for all life forms and continually seek to open the lines of communication between all forms of life.
We are, at this time, offering an On-line course in Shamanism, tho we use this word in a non-traditional way, perhaps Earth Stewardship would be more accurate. The text book we have chosen to use is The Celtic Shaman, by John Matthews and The Way of the Shaman by Michael Harner. There will be reading assignments and discussions about those assignments as well as exercises involving creative visualization, meditation, dreams, and journey work for we believe that all enlightenment can be achieved by these simple methods. And we will meet once a week in an On Line class where personal interaction is possible between the student and teachers.
We suggest that, if you are approved for the class, that you arrive fifteen minutes or so earlier than when the class actually starts. This will get all the greetings and general chit chat out of the way so that there will be no interruptions once class begins.
